Statistics
In order to guarantee the security of supply of petroleum products, LPG and natural gas, all agents of the hydrocarbons sector in Spain have the legal obligation to send periodic reporting to CORES, allowing the development of high quality statistics and publications in the sector.
Moreover, CORES is responsible together with the Ministry for the Ecological Transitionand the Demographic Challenge for several energy statistics contained in the National Statistical Plan. It also participates in the preparation of hydrocarbon reports sent to different international organizations (AIE, EUROSTAT, etc.).
In July 2019 CORES expanded the statistical series updated with historical data since 1960, augmenting seven of its series and adding three new ones related to refinery capacity, refinery production by product group and oil product consumption by group. For a better follow-up, the year of beginning of each series was added and a new category of data was created, refining.
